Crystal Lake Auto Repair & Tire
I have sent all 5 of my cars here for years, and have easily spent thousands of dollars with them. The last straw was when I sent my 2016 GMC Sierra for new tires. I ended up getting a call from Ty stating that my ball joints are out, and needed replacement. I was heading out of town for 2 weeks and told them I would bring the car back after I returned. A week later I got a recall from GMC so I decided to take care of that before heading out of town, when I was at the GMC dealer I asked them to check the ball joints. They told me the ball joints are fine and that the car has low miles, I called Douglas back only for them to say they "just assumed". I decided this was just a mistake and ignored it. It was not till I sent my Ford to get a free tire rotation that you get from getting tires though Douglas. When Ty again told me they were unable to do the tire rotation due to some broken part. Hesitant I took the car to a Good Year in crystal lake where they stated the car was fine and even rotated the tires, something Douglas stated was not possible. So sad to see that years of loyalty and support for a small business in our community, use to do a way better job then they do now, what a shame.
Jacob, we are saddened that you have this perception. Ty was able to connect with your dad about his truck. As far as your Ford there was a misunderstanding because we did rotate your tires. It was the alignment we were unable to do. Ty has also tried to connect with you to see if we can help you get that resolved. If you had the tires rotated again, they are back to where they were. We would be more than happy to get those back where they should be and explain in detail the problem with the alignment. Please call us (815) 506-9059 with any questions/concerns. Thank you.
